Valley Woodcraft was founded in 1952 by Hugh Malone, Sr. and Von Coad in West Pittston, PA. In 1955, Hugh Malone, Sr. became the sole stockholder. After a decade, the Company moved to a 7,000 square feet facility in West Wyoming, PA. Shortly thereafter, in 1969, Patricia Malone, Hugh’s wife, joined the Company.

In 1975, the West Wyoming facility was expanded to 10,000 square feet. As each family generation joined the Company, new business ideas and technological advances propelled the Company’s growth. Hugh Malone, Jr. and Daniel Malone joined the organization in the early 1980’s, bringing a younger approach with new business perspectives. By 1987, production continued to expand, and the facility was expanded to 15,000 square feet.

The decade of the 1990’s saw Deborah Malone, Hugh Jr.’s wife, join the Company, and the original founder, Hugh Sr. and his wife Patricia, retired. Presently, Valley Woodcraft operates out of a state-of-the-art 33,000 square feet center in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
